im writing so many posts in a day cuz i didnt have the chance to write them on the day itself as my blog wasnt working then! the following events that im about to relay were on past incidents which weren't too pleasent.. but had a significant change to my future... my teammates' future.. and even vj's.. ( could have gotten and extra 1/2 day? )
okay let me talk about the match with RJC... it was semi finals already...
so.. wad were our chances against the defending champion?! i muz say.. there was this slight chance.. if we performed well.. and had enough luck to go with.. our line up would be the 2 doubles meeting rj's strenght to strenght.. tricia meeting yan min or pei xuan? and me and xiu qing to create miracles...
in the beginning.. we did generate some sparks of hope... they told me i had played the best game yet when i was up against yan min in 1st singles... din manage to win her though.. still it really boosted Vj's moral and i for once, was proud of my positive contributions... ( yea tt's how inconsistent i am.. well.. actually my consistency is being unable to play properly....but i shall work hard from now and try to pia as hard as i can even during simple trgs!!! )
den our 1st doubles ( diana and shuwen ) played their 2nd ( not very gd!?!? ) that was the downside of us.. won as expected...but such a waste..
xiu qing was up next against weiqi.. she stunned everyone when she took about 6 points from that star player.. even though we lost.. we showed rj that we were strong too by putting up great fites.. i bet they were worried!
our 2nd doubles ( sam and sulin ) played against rj's 1st.. whose standards was very high since kim was in it.. anw sam and sulin did a wonderful job in the 1st set.. earning 12 points..i almost tot we could have won the 1st set! however the 2nd set was a little screwed.. the rj pair suddenly had better control while our shuttles kept going out... we were finally defeated...1-3
devastated by that fate we were so unwilling to accept, i tried to hold back my tears... but as i saw tears streaming down the faces of my fellow mates.. i wasnt strong enough to hold those tears back.. im nv strong enough... i started to cry too... softly... i felt sick.. sad.. the inability to do anything to make things beta only made things worst..there was a sense of helplessness in us... tricia din even get to play!!!
i guess this was one match which was really impt to us.. as it would determine who would get into finals, paving the route to champion and the glory...
sad to say this day wont be coming... to the seniors this is ur last yr playing and i noe u guys really wan to win badly...we ( juniors ) do too...
plz cheer up.. u have done ur best and bestest best u could do... !! this yr's tj and rj team are so full of nationals players.. foreign state players.. combine sch players... it is really pretty hard to beat them.. well..at least we fought hard!
that nite..i stayed back in sch and wrote a few consoling postcards...after that i joined some seniors(venus, diana, kexin, shu juan, yu ling) in their conversation... we sat and talked.. for a while.. we forgot about the match and the melancholy mood gradually faded..
we decided to go for dinner at east coast lagoon.. we were discussing how to get there.. by means of walking, cycling or taxi (which wouldnt be worth it cuz have to split 3-3) .. so being my usual smart me.. i suggested getting a london cab! however the rest din take it to much of a consideration due to the fact it seemed impossible to get one unless u booked?!?
while we walked out of sch.. tada! the most coincidental thing happened...a london cab drove in! we became spastically excited to see it.. we flagged it down and happily hopped in... we were damn spastic.. made a lot of noise cuz we were very excited about getting a london cab.. we took pictures in it.. and even asked the driver to take a photo of us standing beside the caB! the uncle was really nice and friendly..
enjoyed dining with the seniors... ordered so much things.. 850 per person.. though i think i din eat much.. i think shu juan was pigging out the most.. especially on the sting ray... chilli hot!!! i din dare eat... hmph! i shant be fooled the next time!!!!
